Jesus instructed us to make disciples of all nations. One of the most important values of New Life is our mission to the world. It begins in our own community, and spreads overseas to every nation.
Mission Team
New Life is thrilled to be part of the spread of God’s kingdom around the world. We are active in sending missionaries and supporting them with our money and our prayers. We currently support a number of missionaries throughout the world.
This team meets regularly to pray, discuss and make decisions concerning our missions initiative.
We encourage all of our people to respond to God’s call to spread the good news of Jesus, whether it means that moving to a foreign country or live and minister in your own community.
Music & The Arts
God-honoring worship is something we strive for. Many church members get involved in our music and drama ministry. Some play their instruments. Some use sign language. Some are vocalists. Others are involved in the sound and technical aspect. Still others get involved in drama. These volunteers are an important part of the ministry of New Life, using their talents and gifts to glorify God. See Burton Gestner for more information.
Ushers
The usher team at New Life fills an important role. They are involved in directing guests to their seats, handing our bulletins and other information, helping visitors, answering questions, providing direction, recieving the tithes and offering, distibuting pieces for the Lord’s Supper and generally ensuring that the service can proceed problem-free. The usher team is a servant-hearted group of men and women whose ministry is integral to church life.
Media & Technology
Using media to spread the gospel is a privilege of New Life. In an age of widespread technology, we should use these tools as best as possible for God’s Kingdom. All of our weekly sermons are uploaded to our website and we also maintain an active Facebook for additional church communication. These require constant updating and maintenance.
Children’s Church
In order to give our children the best Bible teaching possible, New Life holds a children’s church service during the main service. This special time gives kids more opportunity for interaction and learning in a context and manner that may be better suited to their age and learning styles. Our friendly children’s church volunteers have a range of creative tools–ranging from puppet shows, to games, to object lessons all used to teach our little ones. Leaders rotate weekly along with helpers. Consider leading or helping out once a month.
